Manufacturing Process |

Swedish snus' manufacturing process is the key to why there is such a low risk associated with its use. The cancer causing chemicals in all tobaccos are called Tobacco Specific Nitrosamines, or TSNA’s as they are commonly referred to. The catalyst for the tobacco to release these TSNA’s is heat, high heat. In cigarettes, which have the highest levels of TSNA’s, once you light one, the process begins and the chemicals are released into the smoke. Swedish snus, on the other hand, never touches fire and the manufacturing process uses steam to cure the tobacco and keep its temperature below the 160 degrees Fahrenheit that TSNA’s need to survive. But, we promised you the manufacturing process so, let’s continue! |
